The main purpose of this role is to plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, goals; identify resources needed
- Facilitate the agile software development processes such as sprint/release planning, estimation, prioritization and retrospectives
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Delegate project tasks based on team members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
- Motivate and encourage team members to work properly for the successful completion of any project
- Measure project development performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Monitor and control all the project activities and identify any roadblocks and take necessary measures to facilitate smooth project development and execution
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule using appropriate verification techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors as needed
- Responsible for creating and maintaining required project documentation
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other team members
- Prepare project reports (inception report, project progress report, project completion report and so on)
- Maintain high-Quality Assurance processes and standards
- Review and approve project deliverables before sending to the clients
- Maintaining a view of capacity across the development teams in order to work with Product Management to build a product roadmap that is based on the capacity of the teams
Requirements
- 1 year + proven working experience in project management.
- 4 years + experience in programming with a strong technical background.
- Good client-facing and internal communication skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Any project management certification is a plus
